From the mainstage moments to the hallway meetups, AfroTech 2025 was all about connection and culture. It was a full week of learning, linking, and leveling up with Black innovators from across the globe. And when the panels and presentations wrapped, the energy didn’t stop—it just shifted. With the help of legendary DJs and live performances, conference goers sang, swayed, and danced till the sweat rolled down our… well, you know the rest.

This year, with DELEÓN Tequila serving as the official tequila partner, AfroTech invited attendees to three blockbuster events over the course of three epic nights in three different venues. More than 3,000 guests turned up and turned out for the festivities.

On Wednesday, Blavity House Party hosted five top-tier DJs for a nostalgia-fueled tribute to R&B. With fly ’fits on deck, partygoers raised DELEÓN cocktails, sang under the stars, and danced to the feel-good sounds of classic and contemporary favorites.

What’s a better turn-up than a house party? A block party. On Friday, the Blavity Block Party delivered the perfect combination of community, music, and vibes. DELEÓN Tequila came through with a dedicated bar that served up cocktail excellence, including crowd faves like the DELEÓN 75 and the Hot Honey Margarita. If you were on the block that night, check out the recipe below to experience a little of the DELEÓN magic again (or for the first time if you missed out).

Some of the hottest DJs in the game kept the crowd moving in between live performances by crooner RL from renowned R&B group Next, and rapper O.T. Genasis. This was the warmup for a closing set from New Orleans legend Juvenile who had the audience locked-in and backing things up like it was the ’99 and the 2000s.

Since it was Halloween, one clever party-goer––AfroTech employee Aaron Doman––showed up in costume… as Juvie himself. And when the original Hot Boy spotted his doppelganger in the crowd, Juvenile brought him up on stage, making this Halloween one to remember for a lifelong fan. “I guess the third time really is the charm,” says Doman. “I’ve dressed up as Juvenile the past two years. I definitely wasn’t expecting to be put in the spotlight, but… When the lights are on, it’s time to perform. Moments like this remind me how culture brings us together—the music, the style, the vibe, the people.”

The culture kept on giving. On Saturday, the Blavity House Party crew teamed up with Atlanta’s Mashup Sessions for a musically immersive experience blending genres and styles for a fun and unique evening.

The House Party Mashup wrapped AfroTech 2025 on the highest note possible: a celebration of everything we built, learned, and lived that week. From the mainstage moments to the late-night linkups, the energy at AfroTech 2025 was unmatched. And just between us…next year for our 10th anniversary? It’ll only get better. So go ahead and start planning your arrival.
