American Express (Amex) is giving its Consumer Platinum and Business Platinum cards a major refresh.

The update adds new credits, expanded perks, and a sleek mirror card design, according to a company news release, to provide more value for lifestyle, travel, dining, and business expenses.

Expanded Consumer Benefits

Per the release, with the Amex Platinum refresh, Consumer Platinum cardholders can now access over $3,500 in annual lifestyle benefits. Updates include:

  • $600 Hotel Credit: Up to $300 semi-annually for Fine Hotels + Resorts or The Hotel Collection bookings through Amex Travel.
  • $400 Resy Credit: Up to $100 in statement credits each quarter for eligible purchases at more than 10,000 U.S. Resy restaurants.
  • $300 Digital Entertainment Credit: Up to $25 in statement credits each month (up to $300 per year) for subscriptions, which now include Paramount+, YouTube Premium, and YouTube TV.
  • $300 lululemon Credit: Up to $75 per quarter for eligible purchases at lululemon stores or online.
  • $120 Uber One Membership Credit: Annual statement credits for auto-renewing Uber One memberships.
  • $200 ŌURA Ring Credit: Annual statement credits for purchases of an ŌURA Ring.
  • Premium Hotel Status: Complimentary Leaders Club Sterling Status from The Leading Hotels of the World, with benefits at over 400 luxury hotels worldwide.

These benefits complement existing perks, including Uber Cash, airline fee credit, Saks Fifth Avenue credit, Equinox credit, Walmart+ membership credit, and CLEAR+ credit.

Upgraded Business Benefits

According to the release, the Business Platinum cardholders now have access to over $3,500 in premium business and travel value as well, including:

  • $600 Hotel Credit: Up to $300 semi-annually for Fine Hotels + Resorts or The Hotel Collection bookings through Amex Travel.
  • $1,150 Dell Technologies Credit: Up to $150 in statement credits on U.S. purchases with Dell Technologies, plus an additional $1,000 after spending $5,000 or more per year.
  • $250 Adobe Credit: Statement credit for eligible Adobe product purchases after $600 or more spent.
  • Up to $3,600 Additional Statement Credits: For flights and American Express One AP after $250,000 in eligible purchases in a calendar year.
  • 2X Membership Rewards Points: On eligible purchases in key business categories.
  • Premium Hotel Status: Complimentary Leaders Club Sterling Status from The Leading Hotels of the World.

These benefits build on existing business features, including Indeed credit, wireless credit, Hilton credit, and airline fee credit. They also include flexible payment options like No Preset Spending Limit.

Members of both Platinum categories will also receive best-in-class travel and dining benefits, including the largest global lounge network of any credit-card company, as well as best-in-class dining benefits, exclusive Resy Platinum nights, and the largest curated global hotels program, according to the release.

New Design And App Experience

The Amex Platinum refresh also includes a new design and a more convenient app experience. According to the release, this includes:

  • Mirror Card Design: Cardholders can choose a new limited-edition mirror card.
  • Redesigned Amex App: Cardholders can enroll in benefits, track usage, explore Resy restaurants, and view upcoming travel.
  • Updated Annual Fee: $895 for both cards, effective at the next renewal date for accounts opened before Sept. 18, 2025 (Dec. 2, 2025, for Business Platinum; Jan. 2, 2026, for Consumer Platinum).
